A settled position in a long tray or on a shelf that supports the full length suits the wand because the whole length is supported. To move the selenite wand, lift it clear of the surface and set it down gently in the same place. The selenite wand works best in a cabinet or lined tray away from harder objects and damp cloths or drinks remain out of reach. When placing the selenite wand, move nearby objects out of the way first rather than sliding it through dust or grit.
Variation between pieces: Because each piece begins with a different section of natural selenite, where clearer sections interrupt the cloudy bands will vary from piece to piece. The supplied the white wand will not carry exactly the same banding and those differences are not faults.
A little care: Ordinary dust on the wand can be managed if you use a soft brush around a carved symbol or pointed end; do not use toothpaste, oil or furniture polish on the surface. A dry, separate position is best, so keep the wand on a surface that does not force it to bend and check the surface underneath before setting it down.
