Description
This rough cut crystal obelisk is made from white satin spar, this tower comes from Morocco and stands about 8cm tall. The stone has a soft shine. Thin lines show through the polished sides. Up close, you can see them running right up the white stone.
The photos give you an idea of how it looks in different light. With light behind it, parts of the stone are easier to see through. Other areas stay more cloudy. The lines inside are natural and will vary from one tower to another.
The shape is wide at the bottom and gets narrower towards the tip. Small steps are carved around the upper part. The tip has a flat surface and rises just above the last carved step. Their edges are left rough, which gives the top a different feel from the smooth body. The base is polished too.
A pendulum chain can sit around the narrow tip or rest over one of the carved steps. The stone at the end hangs beside the tower. This leaves the pendulum on show and gives the chain a place to rest when you put it down.
You can use the tower as a small decoration on its own as well. The hand carving means the steps will not be exactly the same on every piece.
