Selenite palm stone
A selenite palm stone is one of those things that doesnât look like much at first. Itâs just a pale piece of crystal and it is shaped so it fits in your hand. Thatâs it. But once you actually pick one up, you notice it straight away. It feels smooth. Not glassy, more soft in a way. Light as well. You donât really have to hold onto it. It just sits there.
As each one is handmade one of them comes out the same. Some are a bit thicker. Some are flatter. Youâll sometimes see faint lines or small marks running through them. Thatâs just how the crystal forms. Itâs not something thatâs been cleaned up to look perfect.
Using a Selenite Palm Stone
If youâre into meditation, this is probably one of the easiest crystals to use. You just sit down somewhere quiet and hold it. Thatâs all most people do.
Some people focus on their breathing while they hold it. Others donât really think about anything. They just sit there for a few minutes. That depends on what you prefer. Not everyone does that. Some people just use it during quiet moments after a long day.
You might hold it in one hand. Some people use another stone in the other hand. Some donât bother at all. Itâs one of those things where there isnât really a âright wayâ to do it.
Looking After Your Selenite Palm Stone
Most people donât make this complicated either. If they feel like giving the stone a bit of attention, theyâll leave it near a window for a while.
You donât need to do it often. Itâs more something you do when you remember. Some people prefer leaving it out at night instead. Others donât think about it that much.
One thing you do want to watch is strong sunlight. Leaving it there all day isnât great. It can start to change colour slightly. So itâs better to move it after a bit rather than forget about it.
Longevity Maintenance
A bit of light is fine and just not all day. Itâs better to keep it somewhere out of direct sunlight.
Handle with Care
Itâs not a hard crystal. If you knock it or drop it, it can chip. Best to keep it somewhere safe.
Protection from Water
Water is the main thing to avoid. It doesnât react well to it over time, so keeping it dry is important.
Everyday Use
Some people place it on a table or keep it nearby during quiet moments. Others simply hold it from time to time.
Ancient Tradition
Youâll hear stories about people placing these in rooms or near doors.

Avoid Overuse
Some people like to leave it aside now and then. Theyâll come back to it later rather than using it constantly.
After a while, you kind of forget itâs even there. It just becomes part of your space or something you pick up now and then without really thinking. Some days youâll use it more, other days not at all. Itâs not something that needs a routine. It just fits around whatever youâre doing.
It helps if you leave it somewhere you can actually see it. Nothing fancy. Just somewhere easy. Then every so often, youâll notice it and pick it up.
You might find you reach for it more at certain times. When things are quiet. Maybe in the evening, or after a long day, when you just want to sit for a bit. You donât really have to "use" it properly. Sometimes just holding it for a minute is enough.
The way you hold it changes as well. Sometimes you grip it.
